We are here to assist pilgrims, tourists and travelers visiting the holy city of Ayodhya.
Ram Janmabhoomi is the most sacred site in Ayodhya, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, the 7th avatar of Lord Vishnu. This is where Maryada Purushottam Ram took birth in Treta Yuga to King Dashrath and Mata Kaushalya.
The word 'Janmabhoomi' means 'Birthplace'. This exact spot is mentioned in Ramayana and Skanda Purana as the birth site of Lord Ram. After centuries of struggle, the grand Ram Mandir was inaugurated here on 22nd January 2024.
The present structure is a magnificent Nagara style temple made of Bansi Paharpur pink sandstone. It is 161 feet tall, 3 stories, with 5 mandaps and 392 pillars. The temple complex spans 2.7 acres.
The sanctum sanctorum houses the 51-inch tall idol of Ram Lalla in his 5-year-old child form. The idol is made of black stone and the temple is designed to last over 1000 years.
